Architecture
Compatibility
All AmbientWebs & TreeMagic components and systems are upwardly and cross-platform compatible- Cross-browser independence including IE7+, FF2+, Opera 9+
Technologies
- Ambient Intelligence technologies to include concepts of:
- Ubiquitous Computing
- Semantic Web (Web 2.0 / 3.0) Approaches and Methods
- JSP / Servelts
- MySQL as Database Engine
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Linux or Windows server capable (Linux prefered)
- XML,XML schema, RDF,OWL, SPARQL
- XML provides a surface syntax for structured documents, but imposes no semantic constraints on the meaning of these documents.
- XML Schema is a language for restricting the structure and content elements of XML documents.
- RDF is a simple data model for referring to objects (â€resourcesâ€) and how they are related. An RDF-based model can be represented in XML syntax.
- RDF Schema is a vocabulary for describing properties and classes of RDF resources, with a semantics for generalization-hierarchies of such properties and classes.
- OWL adds more vocabulary for describing properties and classes: among others, relations between classes (e.g. disjointedness), cardinality (e.g. “exactly oneâ€), equality, richer typing of properties, characteristics of properties (e.g. symmetry), and enumerated classes.
- SPARQL is a protocol and query language for semantic web data sources
Constraints/Performance Objectives
- w3.org compliant
- High transaction load
- High load DB
- High degree of scalability(small to extremely large)
- Multi-lingual interface and content to include support for western, arabic, hebrew, asian languages, etc.
Architectural principles
- Core systems support multiple data types including: image, voice, media, video, interactive games, etc.
- Object Oriented design
- eCommerce capable
- Social networking capable
