Ambient Webs presents “TreeMagic-Banyan”™, a customized and chargeable implementation of standardized software to compliment our free open source version. This forms a 3 part system to:
- Automatically gather and filter intelligent data from any third party websites (crawler)- using TreeMagic-Ponderosa
- Automatically classify, store and manage this data in a human friendly knowledge base (portal)- using TreeMagic-Banyan front-end
- Provide an innovative and simple tool for querying this data instantly from any web page (query engine)- using a combination of TreeMagic-Cypress and TreeMagic-Banyan tools

In practice, we are able to crawl and gather thousands of content summaries from any site related information provider (selectable and targetable by you and your site webmaster). We also organize the content from these information sources automatically using RDF filtering, tagging and classification. This process provides site users with a complex relational knowledge base of cross referenced article summaries that link back to the source article on the originating website. This directory is an extended development on the research work of Hewlett Packard and the European SWAD project for intelligent data Farming (for more information go to: http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/Europe/)
AmbientWebs has developed a simple, practical and comprehensive tool suite for querying TreeMagic-Banyan generated directories. Any pre-existing or new website can be converted to allow invoke a small popup menu thereby allowing users to query generated and archived terms and information resources. This happens automatically and seamlessly from a simple user-generated double click; all TreeMagic-Banyan results are discreetly displayed in a new window. The tool offers numerous configurable menu items, including providing access to multimedia content, terminology definitions, extended meaning, expansion, examples and full encyclopedic expositions for any text on a site page. This 3 part system can provide not only up to the minute news and data gathering, but also the simplest and most discreet method of providing access to data that is secure, controllable and exclusive only to enabled web sites.
